Today I had to send Mot a difficult message about a delay of the release of “The Record”.  I decided to send it as a tactile message via ground mail.  Here is what I wrote:

Dear Mot:

I am sending this to the IMIR Library via ground mail so you can fold and put it in your pocket or your drawer, or crumple and throw it in the “Become Imaginary Bin”.

I know this will be disappointing, but there is nothing can be done.  The initial proofs of “The Record” have had either Wrinkly Pages or Tipsy Registration.  I know you wouldn’t mind the wrinkly pages much, and you might even find them interesting, but try to imagine one of your maps so wrinkly that you cannot tell a wrinkle from a road…

We are going to have to postpone the release of the book for another few weeks at least, and possibly a month. We are trying another paper, and I will let you know how it goes. Don’t forget what you told me about the opposing forces – THEY WILL TEST THE LIMITS OF YOUR LOVE.

I know you will soon be travelling again.  The IMIR Library will have to be closed because I will not be returning now. We will have to trust the Main Room to the entities and hope all will be well.

Below are some images of the chair where I imagine Mot reading this message, with the “Become Imaginary Bin” next to it.  You can download a copy of the correspondence.
