Workroom of the Library of the IMIR

Attendees: Marianne Neill, Arthur Mot

Regrets: Ami Deschens, Francis Sifton

Minutes

Old Business:

None

New Business:

  1. Silent Reading Update: This event was to have taken place on May 19th but was postponed due to the storm. We will now reschedule for July, following repairs, reflection, and expected Solstice disruptions.
  1. Repairs: Work should be completed by July.
  1. Graffiti left on the floor of the Library during the storm:

Report from Marianne on the process of Reflection: As moved in the last meeting, we began a process of reflection on the possible meaning of the ‘X’ that was left on the floor of the Library during the storm. Marianne has set up an Opening — or region of attending to a birth/death place — in the area of the ‘X’. She has determined that a process of recalling the origins of the IMIR is recommended and will be focusing on this while working in the Opening (see image documentation below). **

4. Mot’s Research Update:

Mot reported that his research related to the discovery of the tiny boat is ongoing.  He will report out once his discoveries are understood.

  1. Solstice: Marianne reported that due to expected disruptions of the Library during the upcoming Solstice, all ongoing projects must be assumed to have unpredictable timelines. Outstanding work that will need to be revisited in July:
    1. Mot’s Research
    2. Reflection related to the ‘X’
    3. Silent Reading Event

6. Next meeting: Due to expected disruptions, the next meeting will take place in July 2021, the precise time TBA.

  1. Motion to Adjourn (moved by Neill, seconded by Mot): That the meeting be adjourned on time.

Carried

**(For more on the meaning of all this, “The Record: Mind, Matter, and What Happened in 1987”, a publication that will be available in 2021, will explain.)

Image Documentation

Marianne has started by setting up an “Opening” — or region of attending to a birth/death place — around the area of the ‘X’.  In the image, you see the region surrounded by a “Pleiadean Measure Tape”, setting up an alternate unit of measure as a way of creating the Opening.

This is a record of Marianne working in the birth/death region, reviewing documentation of the origins of the IMIR to gain an understanding of what might need to change. To help focus the process of Reflection, she has set up a Gazing Globe just outside one end of the region.
