THE INSTITUTE OF

The Marginal and Imaginary Regions

Remains imaginary as of:

A large raven stands on the back of a metal chair on a cafe patio

The Raven

Note by M: “While working on “The Record” on a patio outside a downtown art gallery, I was visited by a raven who strongly resembled the entity that had appeared during our spring storm in the Library of the IMIR.

I contacted Mot to let him know.  He advised me to take a look at the website for the IMIR, and when I did, I found it had been changed.  Mot says he did not make these changes, and he thinks the entity did.  We have the option to discard the changes and go back, or consider and accept them. Mot has sent me a motion to approve.  If you are interested in voting, sign up for the IMIR via the contact form on the Home page, and message us with your ‘yay’ or ‘nay’.

Mot’s Motion 2021-08-26:

That the changes to the IMIR that suddenly appeared (just before Em’s encounter with a raven while working in the city) be kept.

Rationale: The changes acknowledge that the IMIR has evolved into an institute that explores an interactive allegorical narrative about itself.  While its purpose might be similar to what it was at first, this has become its method.  The only missing element is robust interactivity, but Mot and I think we should encourage it, and continue with the changes.

Please check out the new content by connecting to the home page of the IMIR. Sign up if you would like to contribute to the interactive narrative and cast a vote on this initial motion.  You can send in your vote with your message when you join.

The raven standing on the back of the metal chair now blends with the image of the moon lamp, and some of the shelving in the Library of the IMIR.

The memory of the Library of the IMIR begins to mingle with the presence of the Raven.

The presence of the Raven mingles with the memory of the entity in the Libary of the IMIR.
